Repackaging & Assembly
Our 3PL service means we do all the kitting, repackaging, consolidating shipments and even assembling your stock. We’ll work with you to understand your requirements, and most importantly, make sure your products reach your customer exactly how you’d like them to.

How does it work?
Step One - Get in Touch
Before we start taking care of your kitting needs, we’ll find out as much as we can about you and the service you provide. We’ll discuss your requirements and help you to see if our services are right for you. If you’re looking to scale up your business operations – we can help.
Step Two - Start your trial
We typically suggest a 60-day trial so you can be sure we’re the right provider for you before committing to a contract. After 60 days, we can assess and are both free to terminate the contract or evaluate terms.
Step Three - Have the products shipped to us
Once we’re aligned on your needs, all you need to do is arrange for your products to be shipped to us. We’ll take care of the rest. We:
- Receive shipments of individual items that will go into the kit
- Receive, store, and assemble the boxes that the items will be placed into
- Pack the individual items into boxes
- Label and ship the boxes out to the customer
- Manage surplus product inventory

Case study - Teacher’s Crate saved time and money with Red River Freight
As a 3PL and kitting company based in a border town, Red River Freight were perfectly positioned to enable Canadian-based Teacher’s Crate subscription service to save time and money on storage, assembly and cross-border shipping.
Teacher’s Crate is a Canadian-based subscription service with a mostly US customer base. They were looking for a way to reduce their overheads, save time and speed up the delivery process.
As a kitting company based in the border town of Pembina, N.D., Red River Freight is perfectly positioned to enable Teacher’s Crate to save money and time on storage, assembly and kitting.
Our kitting service allowed Teacher’s Crate to have their inventory delivered directly to us from their US manufacturer (thus saving on custom fees) while still allowing them to visit and check on their inventory with ease.
Teacher’s Crate shipped their entire product order to us, safe in the knowledge that we would receive their products (and the boxes the kit would go into, of course), separate them, arrange them into kits and then ship them directly to their customer base. All without them having to pay for storage, assembly staff and tariffs on cross-border delivery.
Teacher’s Crate have two different crates that they ship out every month – a wearables crate that includes a t-shirt and a pair of socks and their original crate which includes a t-shirt and 4 other products that differ each month.
Red River Freight assemble the boxes that their crates ship in throughout the month. When we have received all the product that goes into their crates, they email us all their shipping labels for that month. We pack the wearables crate by t-shirt size, so each size of t-shirt is packed and labeled separately. Once we have packed all the wearables crates, we then send them to the post office to be shipped to their customers. Next, we pack the original crates in the same fashion, in order of size, then label, palletize, and take the pallets to the post office to be shipped out. Afterward, we organize their remaining product and store it so that we can send out “specials” crates that may be a regular crate with extra items, or just an individual item. We also track their remaining inventory through Smartsheet so that they can list these extra items for sale on their website and know how much stock they have in order to ensure they have accurate item counts.
